As a Probe Software & Support Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA, you will support assist in the development of information systems using traditional client/server database and Web application development tools in a strong team environment as well as other developing software techniques. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, peers, and corporate software developersproject managers. You will communicate timely status to the customer and lead.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

- Collecting requirements and analyzing data (as required) to support automation and customer teams.
- Defining and making suggestions that improve production and process issues.
- Learning new tools in the effort to maintain, troubleshoot, and support existing software.
- Proactive monitoring and reaction to line & IT system performance metrics/indicators.
- Testing and development releasing of new software.
- Develop training material and documentation of new software.
- Presenting data to various groups and levels of management.

Successful candidates for this position should have:

- Report development.
- Database design.
- Proven problem solving abilities.
- Software testing experience.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Knowledge in several of the following areas is a plus:
- MSSQLPL-SQL
- C#, Visual Basic (NET), MSSQL
- XML, HTML, Perl
- Windows, Linux and Unix
- Microsoft Reporting Services

- Strong organizational and project management skills, technical direction, and vision.

Education:

Undergraduate Major in one of the following education degrees; BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.
