Manufacturing Science Intern is responsible for assisting in the operations efficiency programs. The intern will work closely with Industrial, Manufacturing, and Information Systems Engineers.

Responsibilities:

- Develop flow charts of task flows and information architecture for the new system designs.
- Design and implement databases to collect machine tool process data and to store analysis results.
- Work with engineers to design, implement, and test graphical user interfaces (GUI) for databases and the analysis programs.
- Develop prototypes of designs, refining and changing them as needed.
- Integrate the developed databases and GUIs into Micron’s information system.
- Develop documentation of the new systems.

Qualifications:

- M.S. or Ph.D. student majoring in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience in designing, implementation, and administration of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database systems.
- Experience in GUI application design and development.
- Experience in programming with C#, SQL, XML, ASP.NET, and HTML.
- Advance knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) principles and processes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Effective planning/organization skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities.
