Internship Title:Intern in R&D for Product Design & Development
Brief Internship Description:
R&D CAMEE at the SVHEC is actively involved in digital manufacturing ( CAD/CAM software and CNC hardware) for the purpose of product design & development. The sequential process from design to fabrication of a prototype and/or a manufactured product is fascinating. And, requires broad talent and a comprehensive skill-set. As an intern within R&D CAMEE, an individual will gain experience within this full range of 'making' activity.
Full Internship Description:
Experience in the following STEM categories (or a percentage of those categories)will be included with the internship:
> Industrial and Product Design
> Industrial and Product Engineering 
> CAD and CAM 
> Material Science
> Mid-skill manufacturing process
> Advanced-skill manufacturing process
> CNC Programing
> CNC Tooling & Fixturing
> CNC Machine Cell Operation
> Product Assembly
> Project Management 
In addition, R&D CAMEE does a certain amount of limited production run of  product that has transitioned from the prototype phase and into the commercial market place. The internship could include involvement in that process(s).
