Interns will be actively involved in the design, manufacturing, and testing of space avionics products being developed for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.

Since Cubic Aerospace is a small business (about 8 on the engineering team), interns and co-ops have the opportunity to have a significant impact. Over 90% of the engineering work is on new products - which is unique in the space market. Past interns have designed and built prototype smallsat battery systems, designed and built vibration test equipment, set up facilities and established procedures for thermal testing, assembled and tested prototype parallel power converter modules for a GEO comsat, and carried out vibration testing at NASA Goddard.
