WDM USA is posting for an intern or intern-to-permanent position that will focus on database development, data analysis and product development.

Interns will have the opportunity to work across three areas:
1) Database development - integrating a Department of Transportation's traffic and crash records into a unified database tied to state highway surveys
2) Data analysis - using video captured during state highway surveys to identify and classify roadway features and developing a system for automating the classification process (machine learning and/or modeling)
3) Product development - creating reporting and dashboard tools that highlight state highway survey results, the relationship between traffic/crash/pavement condition, and/or forecasting future road performance.
 
Transportation or civil engineering experience a plus but not required. Candidates with the ability to create structure from large datasets, regardless of database/software development experience, encouraged to apply.
