Shentel offers internship opportunities in many areas of telecommunications including  , engineering, information technology, accounting, finance, operations, and human resources. Internships are generally offered during the summer months from May through August, with start and end dates subject to each intern's availability.

Shentel’s intern positions differ in roles depending on the internship that you apply and are selected for. Interns will be assigned to a specific manager/supervisor who will provide him or her daily tasks and projects within the department. Internships are posted on the company career page around January-February 2013. Candidates are often selected between March and April.
