Internship Title:Software Engineering Intern
Brief Internship Description:
As a member of our product development team, you will create software that impacts millions of people and helps public safety and first responders in times of need. You will design and develop cutting-edge public safety products for our critical communication radio systems used by police, fire, EMS, military and commercial customers throughout the world.
Full Internship Description:
As a development team member, the successful candidate will participate in:
- Implementation of software components in an agile development environment
- Participating in Requirements, Design, and Code reviews
- Generating and maintaining personal schedules, milestones, and deliveries
- Presenting software changes during code reviews
- Providing input for release notes and technical documentation (User’s manuals, etc.)
- Use of configuration management tools for issue tracking and version control

Minimum Requirements: 
- BS or MS candidate for EE (Electrical Eng.) / CS (Computer Science) / CE (Computer Eng.) / SE (Software Eng.). 
- Object oriented design and analysis experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent time management skills

Special Requirements:  
The following attributes are desirable: 
- Familiarity with the Rational toolset (Specifically ClearCase and Clearquest)
- Understanding of WPF programming
- Understanding of C# and Microsoft.NET application programming 
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Sockets 2.0 API programming, and Windows Services
- Knowledge of multi-processor and multi-threaded applications
- Process-focused background, CMM, or equivalent
- Agile / SCRUM experience
- WCF experience
- IP and P25 protocols experience, including TCP, UDP, Mobile IP, CSSI, ISSI, Windows sockets
- Experience with Microsoft .NET framework
