This role will support the engineering department in its efforts to perform a variety of engineering work in designing, constructing, and testing designs of aircraft, and aircraft systems to meet customer expectations.
|Full Internship Description:||
The Engineering Intern will prepare and provide approval for engineering data in accordance to FAA, customer, and company specifications; maintain DER tracking reports; track and maintain engineering and modification request forms; and obtain and prepare approval for engineering data according to customer specifications. Additional responsibilities include coordinating material shipping and receiving for engineering; assisting in coordinating activities and schedules of other engineering or technical personnel on various projects; assisting with setting up and tracking purchase orders; interacting with other engineers, managers and clients; and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior currently enrolled in a Bachelorâ€™s Degree program in Engineering or be a recent graduate of an Engineering program. Additional requirements include the ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment; the ability to adapt quickly to new instructions; and availability to work 20-30 hours per week. In addition, the candidate must be self-motivated; willing to think outside of the box to solve problems; possess excellent customer service and communication skills and possess database and spreadsheet experience.
