Full Internship Description: |
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: o Interfacing with lead project engineer and Applications Technology (AT) staff in developing automated chemistry experiment protocols and associated experimental apparatus o Generating data analysis knowledge in mathematical forms o Perform necessary experiments with aforementioned apparatus o Work with engineering team to design and implement commercial control system modifications and upgrades o Evaluate data generated by commercial control system o Development of design changes, procedures, protocols, etc. in response to generated data o Create preliminary designs and changes as needed to commercial control system o Additional duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  Academic background in applied physics related major (commensurate education in mathematics desired)  Proficiency in chemical instrumental analysis or equivalent experimental chemistry work  Knowledge in computer coding/programming a plus. Preferably C++ or Python  Aptitude to apply critical thinking beyond textbook knowledge  Ability to interact well with customers and with a professional demeanor |
